Hamer men killed and injured in coal mines.

The Hamer name is strongly associated with 2 areas in Britain - Lancashire and Wales. It is not surprising then that many Hamer men were coal-miners. It follows that with the very poor safety record in the coal industry in its heyday, (over 128,000 deaths) some Hamer men were killed and injured. The counties of Lancashire and Glamorgan had the highest casualties of all with over 45,000 and 28,000 deaths. Here is a list of all Hamer men with recorded deaths and reportable injuries. (There may be more unrecorded).
